FABER WALK HOUSE

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

The house sits on a corner semi-detached plot of land fronting a park.

The brief was not to tear the house down, but to enhance it.
Studying the site and the planning of the existing house,
a solution was found to enhance the living experience within the house.

Rooms were extended,
with a deliberate planning of the new extensions,
to take in the views of the nearby park.

Architectural form was deliberately kept simple
to allow the owners to express their preference in the design of interior spaces.

Spaces were designed to flow inside and through the house.
Tropical living became the focus, allowing breezes to cross-ventilate the house.
